Wow! I had the opportunity to tour the Providence Vineyard in Hebron Illinois last weekend, and wow…talk about beautiful! The venue is surrounded by quiet countryside, with a private vineyard for its backyard. White walls both inside and out, gorgeous chandeliers hang from the vaulted ceiling. The bride and bridesmaids each have their own “getting ready” station in the ladies’ suite, with a plush bar chair and round mirror for each of the 6 seating spots (with plenty of electric outlets for hair styling tools!). A full length mirror is surrounded by plenty of seating for mother of the bride, flower girls, and other family members. The groom and his buddies have a suite perfect for “guys” guys…a TV and plenty of seating space. And for a first look location – a beautiful balcony area on the second floor has plenty of natural light, and a lovely backdrop for photos.
Onto the technical items…the venue can host up to 275 people, with either an indoor or outdoor ceremony option. (Stating the obvious, late spring, summer, and fall are much better options for an outdoor ceremony than winter!) If you are interested in booking Providence Vineyard, you’ll want to make sure to reserve your date as soon as possible. Most dates are booked about 12 months ahead of time, with peak season dates booked up to 18 months ahead of time. You might have some luck booking winter dates less than 12 months ahead of time. I guess that’s a positive aspect of winter in the Midwest — wedding venues around here might be easier to book in December, January, and February ;).
To reserve Providence Vineyard, a signed agreement and 50% down payment is required. The remaining 50% is due 90 days before the wedding. Rescheduling is a possibility (as long as the revised date is available), with the deposit being applied to the new date. Canceling would result in forfeiture of the deposit (which is fairly standard in the industry).
This family owned and operated venue prides itself on serving their guests. One could say that’s expected of a wedding venue, to treat their guests with white glove service. But it’s an entirely different thing when the venue treats those NOT in the market to book the venue, with that same white glove service. As I was researching wedding venues, I made my way down a list of about 20 locations to call. It was not unusual to reach voice mail right away. When I contacted Providence Vineyard, I didn’t reach someone directly, so I left a message. I was absolutely impressed that one of their employees (Shaylee) called me back quickly. When I met Shaylee at the venue to take photos, she treated me just as sweetly as she did the couple she just finished meeting with.
Tours are available if you’d like to take a look yourself at this perfect venue — give them a call and schedule with their team at 815-505-3747.
